She used the word "faggot" as worthy of appellation for John Edwards, and conservatives who have tried hard to discriminate legally against gays expressed fury and dismay. That is a faulty ploy.
Ignore her, that is the plan. When she says something that causes outrage, respond by saying you hadn't heard it and don't care to. Her light of hatred grows dim if no one sees it.
A child of a gated community whose father busted unions of third world miners may not be able to judge others fairly and honestly. A woman who has never married or has ever had children may not be able to understand the family values she espouses.
